my place >
I am from jhansi, from the land of Rani Lakshmi Bai, the warrior queen of jhansi. Once a time jhansi was a princely state, Maratha kings used to rule here.
Once upon a time, Jhansi has been a stronghold of the British, the British ruled here for a long time. In 1857, the city of Jhansi fell into the hands of the British. The whole city jhansi was acquired by the British in 1853.
How would you feel if someone entered your house and ruled over it and tortured you? Something similar happened with the city of Jhansi as well.
The British entered Jhansi and started torturing the people. Due to this, people started rebelling. A massacre of British officers and civilians occurred at Jhansi during the Indian Mutiny (which happened in 1857-58). The queen there at that time was Rani Lakshmi Bai.
The queen started a rebellion against this tyranny, she did not want to let her Jhansi fall into the hands of the British. She clearly said, “I will not give my Jhansi to anyone”
My inspiration..
The queen of jhansi, Rani Lakshmi Bai and her land Jhansi both are my inspiration. I definitely have some connection with this land, that is why I was born here. I love this land very much, maybe that is why I am telling you about my place.
